Sat in her garden and holding her love
Put in a basket beneath the balloon
Carried North West by the winds up above
A tiny red dot on the face of the moon
Sat in my garden descending so gently
The love of my love at the end of a string
Driven by gods in an air going Bentley
One special gift that I hoped they would bring
The poem you’re reading must be my reply
I send back my love to her love from the sky
Author notes
A highly informal curtal sonnet, decasyllabic but in tetrameter and two 11
syllable lines to accomodate feminine rhyme
