Alone

I walked, I don’t know where to
I just needed to be somewhere else
didn’t notice the rain at all for at least an hour
didn’t look which direction I was walking
London is either the friendliest or the loneliest place I know
that day I was completely alone.
I had never truly felt unwanted before
not for years
but that day I had no job and nowhere to go
Hyde Park in the rain
is beautiful
peaceful
perfect
so I kept on walking
through the trees avoiding the exits
until I realised
If no-one else
I wanted me
and it was time to go home
