When morning breaks, a cup of tea
Is sure to mend the cracks.
No finer gift can come to me,
At times when thirst attacks.
If you are down, here’s what to do,
You simply take a cup
That’s filled with tea, you’ll soon feel new,
The perfect pick me up.
To gain a smile, and lose a frown,
You’ll need a larger mug
And fill it with the steaming brown,
And white stuff from a jug.
On sunny days it cools your soul,
It warms you in the snow.
With tea inside you’ll soon feel whole
You know an inner glow.
Though alcohol can break the ice
And win a lady’s hand.
A cup of tea is twice as nice
I’m sure you understand!
So sit with me and hold me tight
Then we shall hug and kiss.
We’ll drink a mug and say goodnight
Before we’re lost in bliss!
