An Easy Answer

When every change must lead to further changes
Complexity is easy to achieve.
In too few steps the march of life arranges
A new reality that few believe.
How long is it since you played Chinese whispers,
To pass a message down a laughing line?
Were any players stammerers or lispers
And could you fathom any grand design?
As children play with simple evolution
Why is it adults baulk and close their eyes?
They seem to want another resolution
And find it in a web of foolish lies.
The answer’s there for those who choose to look
But not inside an ancient mystic book.
