It was raining hard this morning, now the clouds have rolled away
Though the weather men give warning that this weather cannot stay;
If tomorrow there is thunder and the wind has found its bite
Still the moon is full and beautiful tonight.
There’s an owl tu-whit-tu-whooing in a tree across the street,
An aroma is accruing of a fresh-baked tasty treat,
They’ll be home baked rich tea biscuits, if the recipe is right,
And the moon is full and beautiful tonight.
Close my eyes and without waiting you are standing by my side,
From a past worth contemplating and a dream that will not hide.
Deep inside I feel your whisper as I do each moonlit night,
And the moon is full and beautiful tonight.
