“No system” is a system and as such oppresses all;
The lack of rules is also just a rule.
You can’t believe in liberty while living as a thrall;
“To anarchy!” the system of a fool.
“I’m free” proclaims the prisoner “my heart is not in chains,
I don’t believe in rules outside my mind.”
But what’s the use of liberty without the other gains,
That human interaction helps you find.
I think and dream without restraint, the only rules are mine
And changeable to suit my current mood.
Internally such anarchy assists my grand design
But life is not mere intellectual food.
In large degree I’m also free to act the way I please
But that’s because of how I choose to act.
True liberty for some I see would not set me at ease,
Not everyone possesses perfect tact.
I’m free to follow rigid rules, and free to break them all,
The anarchist can never break a rule.
No laws must mean no liberty, the anarchist’s a thrall
