Asleep across the ocean
Where all the land’s abed
She dreams the sweet emotion
The love song in her head
She doesn’t have to worry
She knows my love is true
So far across the raging sea
The love of you know who
This poem of devotion
Will reach inside her mind
And fuel the sweetest notion
Of happiness she’ll find
She knows to whom I’m writing
I hope my meanings clear
So far across the raging sea
The one I hold so dear
