At This Busy Railway Station

Through a crowd who’re lost and lonely I walk slowly from the train,
From a past that’s soon forgotten to a future free from pain.
I look up to see the sunshine growing brighter pace by pace,
As the sky begins reflecting on the smile that paints your face.
The next instant lasts a lifetime, you are stood in front of me,
Framed in hopeful expectation and alive with poetry.
I can hear my heart stop beating and my breaths are weak and few,
In this busy railway station I’m alive now I’ve found you.
