Back to School!

The Summer’s been a lot of fun
But Autumn term has now begun
A rotten trick on everyone
Today it’s back to school
The time to laze has gone away
Until the next school holiday
We’ll have to work instead of play
There is some sort of rule
The warmest days and clearest nights
The summers filled with strange delights
And if you’re lucky sexy sights
Especially round the pool
But now there’s work and nasty stuff
The early mornings can be tough
And nothing’s recompense enough
I’d say that isn’t cool
But never mind the darker side
It’s not as though the summer’s died
Some nice long evenings are supplied
For us to act the fool!
