Banana Rock!

My lunacy’s official,
That may strike you with a shock,
Its taste is artificial
But I love banana rock.
Banana toffee’s tasty
And banana cake is too
But I’d never be so hasty
As to give my rock to you.
I really can’t explain it,
It’s a taste I ought to hate,
It’s clear I’m quite insane it’
S too absurd to contemplate —
Don’t ever try to steal it
Or I’ll kill you where you stand!
Though you may never feel it
My obsession’s rather grand.
It’s very hard to find it,
Though I know a single shop,
Perhaps they have to grind it,
From some tasty rocky crop.
With its stripes of brown and yellow
And its wrapper, crystal clear,
I feel the need to bellow
That I’m salivating here!
