Bath-time

Drinking wine while dodging bubbles is a tonic for the mind,
It helps wash away the troubles that your daily life can find.
With the water hot as peppers you gasp in each shallow breath,
Till you settle back relaxing in a temporary death.
Take a glass of what you ache for, and a dream of all you need,
Let the popping bubbles tickle as your pent up thoughts are freed.
If you’ve half a mind to fancy you will feel she’s there with you,
And her loving tutored fingers make your aching joints feel new.
If the scene you’ve set is perfect you will drift around in sleep,
But be careful to stay floating if you’ve run the water deep.
Then it’s time to turn to fiction — read a book or write a verse
Always end your day with bath-time, you could do a whole lot worse!
