I want to read of happiness and love enough to share
Of dreams come true and lips that want to kiss
Erase all pain in sappiness curls of flowing hair
Write poetry that speaks to me of bliss
I want to read of how you feel when love assaults your heart
Sensations that a lover’s touch can bring
Make me believe such things are real and from the very start
You felt your soul demanding that you sing
I want to know that it’s still so romance is far from dead
Eroticism still flows through your minds
Your verses show that hearts can glow and when he’s in his bed
A Don Juan can use the gems he finds
So write for me a love song and the recipe for more
Than any man alive has ever known
May every poet love long with the reader they adore
Tonight I hope you don’t feel too alone
