I don’t believe our love will last forever
Eternity holds no appeal for me
But loving you will be the sweet endeavour
That fills my life until next century
I don’t believe that you approach perfection
You must have faults that I cannot conceive
The pleasure I derive from their detection
Will help ensure that I don’t want to leave
But I believe that we make one another
Much more than we could ever be alone
You’ve lit a fire that I don’t want to smother
