For every moment I have spent alone,
For every dream of company that’s past,
There is another seed of passion sown,
Another chance to find a love at last.
For every word of love I’ve written down,
For every heart my poetry will reach,
There is an hour without a need to frown,
A perfect day upon an empty beach.
This world is sweet, and life is sweeter still,
I’ll never feel the chase is not worthwhile.
The world is wine and you can drink your fill
Till drunk on life you’re left with just the smile.
Though I’ll love you forever and the rest
I’ll still believe that living life is best.
