I met Tom half our lives ago
And soon he was a half of me
The best friend I could ever know
And I can never set him free
To watch a film or play a game
He was the friend I had to see
We shared the fun (and yes, the blame)
And I can never set him free
He was alive and now is dead
But that is not the end for me
I’ll carry Tom inside my head
