Bloom again

The Texas rose is sure to bloom again
Her scent will spread across the desert sands
A gift of love inspiring many men
That waits to hold just one who understands
The sun has gone for far too many days
The yellow rose cannot reflect its shine
But soon the bloom will find a way to blaze
Arresting in its tracks that slow decline
The hard baked soil is not a perfect bed
So all around the rose sees only weeds
A passing cloud sees that the rose is fed
Such beauty has the simplest of needs
Do not despair your time will come to reign
The Texas rose is sure to bloom again
