Changeable Weather

It can’t decide to shine or pour with rain
The wind is up and then it dies away
I’m left to contemplate on life again
What happened to a lovely summer’s day?
Humidity makes sleeping far too tough
(except in meetings, nothing wakes me there)
Then suddenly a breeze is sweet enough
To spread a sense of concord through the air
And what of love? So weather-like in mood
You can’t rely on forecasts of the heart
We’re flying high when thunderclouds intrude
And tear a happy partnership apart
Uncertainty is part of all that’s best
Though lightning strikes bring cardiac arrest!

I don’t think that couplet is staying!!!
