Coquette and Queen

Coyly she sits on a chair by the wall
Out of the way, so it seems.
Quietly waiting for someone to call,
Under the spell of her dreams.
Every man sees her and likes what he sees;
Temptation smoulders within,
Trapped by a skirt that reveals more than knees –
Each of them contemplates sin.
After a while you may see something more,
Nuances hide what is true.
Demure in appearance but ready to score
Queuing for anything new.
Under the radar she’s scanning the bar,
Ever alert for a prize.
Easy to see that this girl will go far
Nothing succeeds like these lies!
