In sleep I see a vision far away
As though through water gentle as the night
A pair of eyes that make me want to stay
And live a life forever in their sight
The dream returns each night to torture me
No man can know who wears the sweet disguise
A mystery much deeper than the sea
Is lost within the soul behind those eyes
Awake I walk as though I were possessed
A mermaid’s call has swept away my mind
My only thought will never be repressed
The eyes I dreamed are all I need to find
I’ve lost my heart and now I wait to die
I’m crushed beneath the beauty of an eye
