Beside the dam the air is cool and still
With nature and the desert all around
Tranquility and love is often found
So I shall follow you there with a will
We’ll gaze upon the waters cool and deep
And know each other’s thoughts without a sound
Until at last the time has come for sleep
We’ll sit together on a grassy mound
The pain you feel is only for today
In time you’ll have a glow that you can keep
For now the hill to climb is very steep
And there’s a heavy price that you must pay
But soon your health will match the love you feel
And then this dream is sure to turn out real
