Daydreams

I want to find an island where we two can live alone
With sun and sand and breezes from the sea
Far from all our troubles and the monster of the phone
With everything we’d need for you and me
The sun above to kiss us and some lovely trees for shade
A hill to climb to look across the bay
A house for us with garden and a place where friends have stayed
As long as all the rest are far away
The weather would be perfect, but I’d love a storm or two
And days when there is just a hint of rain
For then I would have an excuse to stay inside with you
And such a day would never be a strain
The life upon our island sitting reading poetry
Just perfect for two poets in the sun
I know I’m only dreaming of a paradise for me
But to dream this way of you is rather fun!

Author notes
Well I did a bad dream, thought I should compensate.
