Difficult days

Sometimes you may be asked for a decision
Or “could you please assist us right away”.
They may not give you facts with much precision
But will assume you’ll know what you should say.
“We have to try but there are many dangers,
It’s not enough to do what’s come before”.
She can’t accept such painful news from strangers
It’s down to you to let her know the score.
And then you have to face your demons down
The fear of all the pain and that disease
You wipe away the tears that want to drown
The force that drives you far beyond your ease
You beg with love that she should bear more pain
To save her life you hurt her once again
