Don’t go to sleep

At dead of night I wander vacant halls
To search for those who sleep without due care
Not stopped by locks on doors or solid walls
I do not touch the floors or breathe the air
If you should feel a chill within the room
Then you may guess that I have passed your way
Despite the candle light you’ll feel the gloom
Do not forget tonight you need to pray
A frozen hand will close around your face
I wait to see your eyes as you awake
There’ll be no sudden rescue in this place
I’ve found another soul I want to take
I never warn nor give a second chance
Tomorrow night you’ll join me in my dance
