Dreaming of tonight.

Tonight will surely be the night.
She knows he must return.
The smile that plays across her lips
No living man could spurn.
Two weeks have past and now the day
Is surely due to dawn.
When all her secret longings
Can be sounded like a horn.
So as she lies asleep in bed.
A smile is on her face.
She is dreaming of fulfilment,
When she’s in that special place.
At half past six she’ll be there,
Waiting for her fondest dream.
It’s at half past six on Tuesdays
That he brings the fresh ice-cream!

It is all a matter of priorities after all.
