Fools

The silent sounds of shadows hurt her mind
With icy chills to take her breath away
The fear that all her mem’ries left behind
Have moved inside her heart and mean to stay
As creaks and groans disturb the peace of night
And ancient curses tumble from her dreams
The moon has set to rob her room of light
She whispers to herself in silent screams
The wall beside her bed has let him through
His icy hand is clasped around her throat
Her look of fear will be the only clue
He didn’t give her time to leave a note
Don’t sleep alone if you believe in ghouls
The spirits only take the lives of fools
