It’s always sad when people have to die
Their age cannot assuage the hurt we feel
You know that there’ll be tears in every eye
And even time can never really heal

The certainties of childhood fade away
As relatives start thinning on the ground
The people that we love should always stay
But cures for getting old are never found

So face the sadness with a heavy heart
Yet fill your mind with all the happy times
And when you think of all the love you’ll start
To understand this worst of nature’s crimes

Remember that in life there’s always death
Grab happy memories while you’ve the breath

Author notes
All good things will pass, but the good times are still there inside.
