Are there any better poets writing poetry today
Who can make you gaze in wonder and then hide your pen away
Are there any other poets who can see from other sides
All the mysteries that scare you when you conscious spirit hides
How can anyone remember little details like the seeds
That got spat out at the mailbox in the midst of daring deeds
There’s a novel way of counting up to eighteen , start at six
Are there any other poets who can rival her for tricks
If your muse is in a huddle and won’t talk to you for days
You can go to read her musings and you’ll find some other ways
Little backstreets in the city that you thought you always knew
How can anyone know better all about the secret you
There’s a man who quoted Shakespeare to the gravestones in the park
And a frisson made of wonder when she’s gazing at the dark
She is terrified of flying but her poetry flies free
Are there any other writers who can match her poetry
