Fifty years ago today
Sitting on a beach
I leant across and softly kissed you
While you were in reach.
Another dozen years together
We were joined as one
Wedding with our families near us
Life was perfect fun
Twenty years we raised our children
Twenty maybe more
Two strong boys and two great daughters
That’s a lovely score
Now our children have their children
Holiday at the beach
Sitting down on sand we saw them…
Great grandchildren in reach!
