The best that you can give is part of you
You take the time to find the perfect gift
You waited while the inspiration grew
And knew that you would give your friend a lift
It’s not the price in money that you pay
It’s all the love that’s also wrapped inside
A gift can say the words you want to say
In ways your normal voice can only hide
The greatest gift that you hope to receive
Is just a smile when paper is undone
The moment when at last you can believe
You’ve givien out a slice of love and fun
I want to see the smile inside your eyes
The moment that you open my surprise
