Going home from work

Clear crystal clad and amber hued
The answer to the maze of life
Silence pray, no fat be chewed
The wisps of life
Lined above the pristine glasses
Wait for the clock to strike again
Shattered peace of drinking classes
Time for the train
The lullaby of wheels on railway
In the distance home and wife
With memories of sex last Tuesday
Violet’s his life
Smoke poured from the children’s bonfire
Forever playing having fun
Falling leaves in colours on fire
No more words my poem’s done
