If I could hold you safe inside my heart
And feel you wrap your arms around my soul
Our dreams could pull the distances apart
The many thousand miles become a stroll
If I could raise my arms and fly to you
To feel your smile and touch your tender sigh
Then I’d forget the world I thought I knew
To make the space to hold you in my eye
The way you changed my life can make me smile
On days when cloud and rain should make me frown
The pictures that I write have changed in style
The city walls of life have fallen down
Each dream has changed in ways I hardly know
Your are the only reason that I grow
