A little bit of Wodehouse when you’re down
Can change a cloud to sunny South of France
The terror in the laughter of the clown
Becomes the joy of horizontal dance

Or when you’re lost let Tolkein find your way
Through Middle Earth he writes your life anew
When Orcs attack or Hobbit children play
Each sentence is another part of you

One heartfelt voice calls clearer than the rest
All tears and joys exist between his lines
My deepest dreams are often best expressed
In forms of words that Shakespeare’s verse defines

Now take your turn write down the things you do
And future minds may find themselves in you.
