And then she spoke in soft and laughing tone
The challenge that she gave stood her apart
I wished that I could keep her for my own
She took my gift and gave me so much more
A deep brown gaze that sets my whole on fire
The body and the mind that I adore
A night with her could be my whole desire
When lust and love combine in just one place
And friendship joins the chemistry of life

In dreams she would be who I took as wife
