Here We Go Again.

We hoped the World had moved beyond this state,
Where “might is right” and bullies rule the roost.
But there are some who know that they are “great”
And take to war to give themselves a boost.
“Agree with me, I’ll always be your friend”
As long as you do all I tell you to.”
Your liberty’s a game of “let’s pretend”
And human rights belong to very few.
Last century one hundred million died
To feed the vanities of evil fools.
Perhaps a billion other people cried
And hoped their leaders could obey some rules.
And now the dreadful game’s begun again
A few thugs’ pride will cause the whole World pain.
