He’s just a nerd she doesn’t really see
Her friends would laugh if she should look his way
This love affair she can’t allow to be
But still he makes her coffee every day
At Valentines he buys the largest card
Anonymous but she is not in doubt
The look she gives is very cold and hard
The only time he tries to ask her out
He perseveres but finally it’s clear
She doesn’t want to know his inner voice
He feels a fool he chased her for a year
It’s time to make a less unlikely choice
Then yesterday she saw him in the gym
And now she sees her perfect man in him
