No sculptor moulds his clay with greater care,
No engineer approaches his precision.
Vicissitudes require artistic flare
And every stroke demands the right decision.

The work must start before the world’s awake —
An hour a day deploying scant resources.
If he could see the truth his heart would break,
His artistry still terrifies the horses.

It’s obvious from thirty yards away,
Each single hair must do the job of twenty.
A breath of breeze and all’s in disarray,
Yet he believes we see the days of plenty.

His comb-over screams loud for all to see
“I’m bald and blind, consumed by vanity.”
