HIV/Aids sonnet

A virus that has changed the way we live
Too late for many victims of its curse
A little thought is not a lot to give
When carelessness can lead to so much worse
A fight to save so many every day
In Africa some nations torn apart
The heavy price some people have to pay
When following an impulse of the heart
We have to share the drugs with those in need
And give the best to those without the cash
You can’t cure half the world with latent greed
Or save the rich and treat the poor as trash
Don’t let the moral zealots have their way
Insist on helping someone else today
