How We Fly

Above the Moon, beyond the stars
So far away, yet still in reach.
The sweetest of all Shangri Las
Has many lessons it can teach.
Though birds and insects grace the sky
They do not show us how to fly
But poets close their eyes each night
And let the truth of dreams take flight.
