Humpty’s sonnet

Old Humpty Dumpty sat down on the wall
A very foolish place for eggs to be
Then Humpty Dumpty had a nasty fall
An outcome anyone with sense would see
The King sent forth his horses and his men
To try to save our foolish hero’s life
But they could not assemble him again
Such accidents are now becoming rife
If you have ovoid friends I would suggest
You ask them not to sit high on a wall
A cardboard box correctly shaped is best
Then they won’t have an accident at all
And now you’ve sat and listened to my plea
Get out your plate there’s scrambled egg for tea!
