I want to write a dream to tease your heart
Of cooling breezes blowing from the sea
Where sea birds dive and wheel to show their art
And maybe where you’d sleep to dream of me
And now I have a dream to fill your mind
Of sailing on a boat that’s far from shore
Where nothing is a treasure you can’t find
And every net you cast yields so much more
I’ve dreamt myself a dream to fill my sleep
Where I can walk with you as dawn awakes
And gentle waves are rolling on the deep
To wash away the day and its mistakes
Each moment of my dreams is filled with you
I wonder if your dreams are happy too.
