I want to spend a lifetime loving you

Standing still and looking foolish is the recipe, they say,
For a girl to win a fella in the sweet old fashioned way.
Some men want a brainless bimbo who will bat her eyes on cue
But I’d rather spend a lifetime loving you.

In your eyes there is a sparkle not the message “no-one’s home”;
You are diamonds and silver not Swarovski chips and chrome,
You are antique gold and rubies, you aren’t bubble wrapped brand new
And I want to spend a lifetime loving you.

You’re curvaceous and alluring not a bag of skin on bone,
Much more beautiful and sexy than a slab of muscle tone.
Who wants glamour without passion, I want lust and loving too
So I want to spend my lifetime loving you.

You’re a perfect oil painting not an airbrushed photograph,
When I tell a joke you giggle don’t emit a stylish laugh.
I want life and not a model and you’re perfect through and through.
Will you let me spend a lifetime loving you?

You are books and clever stories, you are fun and poetry,
Not an evening painting toenails, watching soaps stars on TV.
When we’re eating you choose tasty, not the “best on the menu”
Now I want to spend a lifetime loving you.

From the moment that I met you, you weren’t just a glamour shoot.
Though you’re beautiful to look at every thought I send takes root;
Standing still and looking foolish may be perfect for a few —
But I want to spend a lifetime loving you,
Yes I want to spend a lifetime loving you.

Quote prompt number 15. Any girl can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand
still and look stupid. ~ Hedy Lamarr ~

I did read the rules but I refuse to capitalise all “i”s. Just those that start
lines or sentences and the personal pronouns.
