Imperfect beauty

The night contains her beauty everywhere
The stars were born as twinkles in her eyes
A waterfall of moonlight washed her hair
The midnight breeze the mem’ry of her sighs
The stars were born as twinkles in her eyes
No goldsmith could create such jewellery
My lover is the mother of the skies
And says that all her beauty is for me
A waterfall of moonlight washed her hair
A halo for an angel’s perfect face
The night reflects her image everywhere
So everywhere becomes a better place
The midnight breeze the mem’ry of her sighs
The night we met is burned into my dreams
I wish I could not see the way she lies
No-one can be as perfect as she seems
