In Northington Street

To the beautiful woman that I sometimes meet
As I walk in the morning down Northington Street
Though you probably won’t see this I just want to say
A thank-you for brightening the start of my day
I’ll never know you, or even your name,
But a smile from a stranger makes me glad just the same.
So I hope that a greeting, or even a grin
From the bloke in a waistcoat makes you happy within.
Now I’ll say goodbye ’til next time that we meet
In the morning while walking in Northington Street.
Author notes
There are several more about her, I’ll put them here sometime, but I like this
one best.
