Jessica\’s Dreams

Jessica’s Dreams

Now Jessica lies asleep in her bed,
With dreams of tomorrow alive in her head.
She’d love to bake biscuits, with chocolate of course,
Or go to a farm with a big friendly horse.

In Jessica’s dreams there are dozens of trains,
And cars that go fast and some small buzzing planes.
Her dollies all sit at the table for tea
And if I’ve been good there’s a place set for me.

Then Jessica giggles ’cause GG is there,
And she’s letting Nanny put bows in her hair.
Gpops will be playing and Grandad will run,
To make sure she sees everyone having fun.

Then Jessica builds lots of towers with her bricks
While Daddy is naughty, he makes things do tricks,
She’s cuddling Mummy and teddy bears too –
And if you are lucky she’s dreaming of you!

Author notes
Jessica is my Granddaughter, and the greatest curse of the pandemic is not
visiting her and her parents!
