And day by day we grow a little older,
Not wiser nor more beautiful, it’s true.
Another page to tuck into the folder
Until it’s time for us to bid adieu.

When we were young I bought you deep red roses
We watched them grow more beautiful each day;
But as it grows all beauty decomposes
And far too soon all roses fade away.

And yet in you I see no daily changes,
The face I met still greets me just the same.
The mind inside the body rearranges
Nobody wins the never ending game.

And as we slowly slide along the groove
I whisper in your lovely ear – your move …

Author notes
I have no idea, I merely wrote it.
