Keeping Her Wolf at the Door

Some ladies try to keep the wolf away,
They’d rather put their trust in boring men,
But when they’ve learned the way that puppies play
They never look at human males again.
A long red tongue that never needs to rest,
A sleek black tail that tickles everywhere,
Those fiery eyes that fill each game with zest
All irresistible to those that dare.
When lazing on the sofa late at night
She never needs to wonder where he’ll be.
For any wolf the ultimate delight
Is when his mistress lets him on her knee.
And now she’s taught her wolf to fetch a ball
She never needs to search for men at all …
