Kittens Today Don’t Know They’re Born!

In India there’s little kittens dying
For what you leave they’d gladly lick your feet
Yet I get back in time to catch you trying
To sneak away while there’s still food to eat

I know that there’s a bright reflection shining
Across the floor and it needs you to play
But I’m not going to listen to your whining
Till that bowl’s clean right here is where you’ll stay

When I was young there were no easy dinners
No fresh caught fish, no tender chicken breasts
Young cats today are born already winners
We stalked thin mice and baby birds in nests

I have to take this rather strict precaution
Or maybe they’ll give me a smaller portion!
