Living in Dreams ( a sonnet)

I can’t forget her lingering caress
When I still feel her hair fall through my hands.
The moment when her body whispered yes
And I was lost inside those golden strands.
The way her lips seemed soft as moonlight’s touch
And how her skin replied to every word.
Now every day I miss her far too much
The thought that we can’t be is just absurd.
She always said that she would fade away
But I still feel her holding me inside.
Reality’s a cruel game to play
I need to find a dream where I can hide.
I close my eyes to hold her every night
And every morning happiness takes flight.
