Looking Back in Blue

When summer kisses on the beach
Are left like footprints in your mind
And fingertips you thought in reach
Are suddenly too far behind;
When evening walks along the sand
Meander into memory
And words you used to understand
Turn slowly into agony;
Then all you ever need to do
Is close your eyes to everyday
And you will feel me next to you
To paint those unloved blues away.
