Meringues!

I bought a meringue and the inside was sticky
The outside explosive so eating was tricky
The goo and the crunch make it so far from icky
I wish I had bought two instead
There’s crumbs all around on the chair and the table
Despite clearing up just as well as I’m able
If this were a film I could send them a cable
“I wish I had bought two instead”
Next time I’ll get six I can eat at my leisure
And I’ll wear a grin like a pirate with treasure
But all of that weight may diminish my pleasure
I’ll wish I had bought two instead!
